MIGHT claim final ECL S47 spot
Bobby "stamina" Eitrem's MIGHT squad claimed the final ESL Challenger League Season 47 spot on December 17th, joining the likes of NRG and Reason as the final teams to make their way into NA's top-flight domestic league. Picking up from day two's action, the lower bracket Bad News Bears, Rocket, LAG, and MIGHT all battling for one spot after each falling from the upper bracket earlier in the tournament.
Day three started with Rocket dispatching Bad News Bears 2-1 in a reverse sweep thanks to a leading performance from Matthew "nero" Seymour. Meanwhile on the other side of the bracket, MIGHT bested fellow Advanced hopefuls LAG 2-1 in another reverse sweep that required stamina to step up in the final two maps to lead his team to victory.
With the stage set for the final series of Relegation, MIGHT kicked things off with a 13-8 win on Overpass before Rocket answered back with a dominant 13-7 win on Mirage. With the series tied up, the series would ultimately swing in the favor of MIGHT as they won Anubis 13-8 to win the series.
While the league is certain to see changes in its composition, for the moment it consists of:
• M80
• BOSS
• Party Astronauts
• Nouns
• Unjustified
• Evil Geniuses*
• FLUFFY AIMERS
• Badass
• Take Flyte
• Mythic
• ex-Eros White*
• Wildcard
• Spectre
• NRG
• Reason
• MIGHT
*At the time of publication it is generally understood that Evil Geniuses and ex-Eros White will not be fielding rosters in ECL S47. In that event Rocket and LAG/Bad News Bears would be called up to take their spots.
