T1 confirm addition of food to VALORANT roster
As was previously reported by Dust2.us, Victor "food" Wong has departed the CS:GO professional scene to fill the fourth slot on T1's VALORANT roster.
food has landed on his feet, but the remnants of Swole Patrol are still yet to finalize future plans. Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir and Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro have both publicly announced their intention to follow food's lead and transition to Riot Games' newest title, though they will be doing so with no specific destination in mind.
Conversely, Austin "Cooper-" Abadir has reaffirmed his intent to find a new home within the CS:GO scene. His 1.26 average rating in ESEA MDL Season 33 is a testament to the firepower that he could bring to any MDL roster hoping to make a big move in Season 34. Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado is the only player from the Swole Patrol lineup who hasn't made any sort of public announcement about what title or opportunities he intends to pursue going forward.
With the confirmed move, T1's VALORANT roster is now:
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Keven "AZK" Lariviere
- Austin "crashies" Roberts
- Victor "food" Wong
- Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)
The team have yet to settle on a fifth player to round out their roster.
