TR1LL- takes over as Under 21 head coach
Max "TR1LL-" Kesselhaut took to Twitter yesterday afternoon prior to Mythic Cup 6 to announce changes to the coaching staff that Under 21 have assembled.
Dust2.us previously reported that TR1LL- would be assisting Under 21 in ESEA MDL Season 34, but that the team were yet to make a decision on what his role would be. The team corroborated the tweet, noting that TR1LL- would be taking the reins and that his predecessor, Anhduy "nguyen" Nguyen, would be staying on as an assistant coach. Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan will transition from assistant coach to serving more of a managerial role.
TR1LL- has now officially reunited with Bilal "SPAMMER" Ali, following his former player to Under 21 after their previous lineup with Grazur disbanded. TR1LL- guided Grazur to a 9-7 record in the ESEA Advanced Season 33 regular season, but didn't find success in a winless playoff campaign.
With the coaching staff shift clarified, Under 21 are now:
- Brendan "Bwills" Williams
- Justin "FaNg" Coakley
- George "Powerzz" Yaede
- Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes
- Bilal "SPAMMER" Ali
- Max "TR1LL-" Kesselhaut (Coach)
- Anhduy "nguyen" Nguyen (Assistant Coach)
- Huthaifa "blitzz" Khan (Manager)
Under 21 were 2-0'ed by Polar Ace in their Mythic Cup opener, but were given a second chance when Polar Ace withdrew from the event because they could not commit to their subsequent matches. They made the most of it by besting Recon 5 in their semifinal match 2-1, but lost 2-0 to Swedish Canadians in the grand final.
