Complexity bounce back in American derby
Complexity were always favored in the Thunderpick World Championship elimination matchup against M80, but to bounce back in such a convincing fashion after a frustrating loss against Spirit is a positive sign for fans. The squad have been traveling the world in recent weeks which can put any group under inordinate amounts of stress. As for M80, they were hoping to avoid the ignominious honor of joining Wildcard in last place.
The match began on Complexity's pick of Overpass, where the internationally accomplished squad encountered little trouble on their T-side as they comfortably reached nine rounds in the first half. M80 began their offensive half by claiming five rounds in a row, but Complexity were never in danger as they calmly closed out the map 13-8.
M80 then headed to their own map pick of Vertigo, but they did not fare much better. M80 had a rough first half as they only claimed four rounds on their opening T-side, facing a big 8-4 deficit. While M80 were able to win the pistol and seemed to have a shot at coming back, Complexity roared back as they won the next five rounds to win the map 13-6 and the match, 2-0.
Complexity will have to wait to see who they play next while M80 have been eliminated from the competition.
