Rugratz drop mada; to use tweiss for remainder of Season 33
Rugratz have made yet another change to their roster, opting to part ways with Adam "mada" Pampuch after the close of the roster lock. As a result of being unable to add any players, the team will once again utilize Tyler "tweiss" Weiss for their final matches of the season.
mada took his time to settle on a team at the start of the season, briefly playing for Big Frames and trialing for Rap Gang before he decided to take a break from the game for Season 33. Not long after he chose to sit out, Rugratz sought him out as a replacement for Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro, who had left the roster to link up with Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir on Swole Patrol.
Rugratz initially struggled to post results at the start of the season, finding themselves falling in their opening MDL matches, as well as being eliminated early on in the FLASHPOINT Closed Qualifier and the Americas Minor Closed Qualifier. In terms of statistics alone, mada averaged a 1.01 rating over the six maps he played with Rugratz in MDL, below Nathan "leaf" Orf, Eric "penny" Penny, and Alexander "zander" Diaz but above Joshua "Hunter" Madore.
When contacted by Dust2.us, mada informed us that he was removed from the team by a single player, without any discussion with the rest of the members on the roster. Other members of the team told Dust2.us that as far as they knew, it was "a decision between mada and zander", and that they "did not know he wouldn't be playing in their second match" for MDL on March 9th.
With the removal of mada, Rugratz are left with the following roster for the end of the season:
- Joshua "Hunter" Madore
- Erik "penny" Penny
- Nathan "leaf" Orf
- Alex "zander" Diaz
- Tyler "tweiss" Weiss
Rugratz currently boast a 12-5 record and reside in sixth place on the MDL Season 33 standings, with all regular season matches slated to conclude by the end of this week.
