LiViD drop team; set to finish season as District 7
LiViD have announced that they have dropped their CS:GO team and will be looking for a new lineup. The dismissal of their French Canadian lineup comes just days after the team failed to qualify for the ESL One Rio Americas Minor following one-sided losses to Cloud9 and Chaos.
Along with losing their organization, Dust2.us has learned that the team have made a number of changes to their lineup, replacing Abdo "c4Lypso" Agha with Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre while also losing the services of coach Loic "effys" Sauvageau. Dust2.us has learned that the two parties decided to part ways after internal problems made them not want to play together anymore.
Now without a home, the team will finish out the remainder of the MDL season under the banner of defunct French Canadian organization District 7. The arrangement comes due to the team being friends with the organization's former owner Max "PapaMax" Lalonge.
As a result, District 7 are:
- Danny "huynh" Huynh
- Michael "MkaeL" De Luca
- Mathieu "INCRED" Bergeron
- Anthony "gMd" Guimond
- Michael "miLLe" St-Pierre
District 7 currently sit in the middle of relegation territory with a 3-7 record and will be looking to improve that record tonight with matches against Chaos and Thunder Logic at 9PM and 10PM, respectively.
Additionally, the team is still set to attend WESG 2019 although Coronavirus concerns have pushed back the event to an undetermined date.
