timbermen link up with Badass organization
timbermen have signed with a new homegrown organization, Badass, on August 11th, ending the team's eight-month search for a new home after leaving Iron Blood back in December. Along with finding a new home, the now-Badass squad have completed their roster, bringing back old names in the form of Dongfeng "Project90" Liu and Fern "intra" Hak alongside Jimmy "JQT" Tran, who will be acting as the team's coach.
Details about timbermen's new organization are relatively scarce as Badass seems to have emerged out of the ether a few weeks ago. In talking to the organization's owner, simply named Ben, he told Dust2.us that he decided to create an organization after following the scene for a number of years. As for his choice of team, he says that his friend, Adam "nbgee12" Zanzoul, recommended the team. As such, it seems this is pretty much a "family affair", as nbgee was previously responsible for wrangling up much of timbermen's support, including via Lethal Gaming Gear of which he has some connection.
Looking towards the roster itself, there are no real surprises here as Project90, intra, and JQT have all been associated with the lineup in the past. Project90 was previously booted for a lack of experience while intra previously stepped down due to college commitments. With those instances seemingly being water under the bridge, the team is back up to full strength.
Badass are now:
-
Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
-
Tianyi "Fr3nk1e" He
-
Derek "dare" Brown
-
Dongfeng "Project90" Liu
-
Fern "intra" Hak
-
Jimmy "JQT" Tran (Coach)
Badass will play in ESL Challenger League Season 46 in short order, as the league is set to begin today August 15th.
