Report: Singularity look to ShahZaM and SicK
Singularity are set to use former Complexity duo Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Hunter "SicK" Mims in place of Will "dazzLe" Loafman and Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro in their WINNERS League Season 3 Invite match against Rap Gang tonight.
The move comes after a string of lackluster results for Singularity, as the team failed to make it out of the open qualifiers for WESG USA, IEM Katowice, and DreamHack Open Leipzig. Additionally, after being invited to participate in the second stage of ESL Pro League Season 10, Singularity missed out on the finals following a one-sided loss to ATK.
The individual forms of both dazzLe and Zellsis have faltered recently, with the pair sporting 0.96 and 0.94 ratings, respectively, over the past three months.
Both ShahZaM and SicK entered free agency towards the tail end of 2019 as Complexity overhauled their roster with a trio of European stars. The former is one of the most veteran free agents on the market, with six Majors under his belt, and the latter managed to put up a 1.19 rating online during his period standing-in for Gen.G, rebounding from a slow year with Complexity.
The move will at least temporarily reunite the duo with Skyler "Relyks" Weaver, as the trio played together for around five months on TSM and Misfits.
The lineup Singularity are currently set to field tonight is:
- Sebastian "seb" Bucki
- Skyler "Relyks" Weaver
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan
- Hunter "SicK" Mims
- Ian "Immi" Harding (Coach)
Like most teams, Singularity currently await the start of ESL Pro League Season 11, which is set to begin sometime in the next two months. The team are also signed up for the DreamHack Open Anaheim qualifier, which will begin on January 17th.
