Where is the team at in its formative era? Do you think that after Cologne the team will be completely figured out or is there more work to come after?

There is definitely more work to come after Cologne. We met basically two days before BLAST group stage started and we made a blueprint, “Okay this is how we will try it first and if it is not working out or if some roles are not fitting well then we will swap around”. That’s what we did. After BLAST we swapped around some things in game and so far it has been working better than before but obviously, there is a lot of work to be done.

How much input did you have from the sidelines into what players OG picked up?

I had no say in picking up regali, he was signed by the time I was ready to make my return. As for the two other guys, it was basically between them and one more player. So, it wasn’t me deciding, I just shared my thoughts on what I think of them and their past experiences and management chose the players at the end.

You have a deep pedigree of picking up international teams and building them. Is it difficult for you as an IGL to be on a team where you don’t get to hand-pick all five elements?

Yeah it's obviously difficult but that is the way CS has developed so far, and I think more often than not the coaches or the management have the keys and they decide how to build the roster. Obviously, the in-game leader has his input but it's more like how you want to play, these are the pieces that you have and you do your best to make it work.
