ANEW bench Bouchard

Female squad ANEW have made a significant change to their roster, benching IGL Julie "Bouchard" Bouchard ahead of their upcoming appearance at WESG 2019.

The move  comes after a relatively lackluster season in ESEA Intermediate which saw the team miss out on playoffs with an 9-7 record. Additionally, the team were handily defeated at the WESG 2019 North America Finals, winning only four rounds against CLG Red.

However, due to WESG deciding to change the slot allocation for the main event, ANEW ended up qualifying anyways and will be representing Canada in China. This raises a problem for the squad as under WESG's rule they may not be able to add a substitute to their roster in which case the team will use Bouchard, according to Natalia "Natty" Jackson.

As a result, ANEW's roster is currently:

•  Mirna "athxna" Noureldin
• "kionetta"
•  Naomi "Naomi" Sauvola
•  Natalia "Natty" Jackson
• Nathan "madcow" Retterath (Coach)
•  Julie "Bouchard" Bouchard (Inactive)

Additionally, the team may have another problem coming up as Canadian stand-in Stephanie "missharvey"  Harvey is also set to attend WESG 2019 as the coach of Canadian squad LiViD. Dust2.us was unable to confirm whether she will be allowed to play for ANEW, with a LiViD representative telling us that a decision has not been made on her eligibility.
