hardzao is set to leave paiN after nearly four years

paiN bench hardzao

hardzao's departure may set the stage for a move to Fluxo.

Wesley "hardzao" Lopes has announced today that he has been moved to paiN's bench, marking the end of nearly four years with the Brazilian organization. hardzao's move to the bench follows the benching of Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato on June 22nd in a move that reportedly sets the stage for paiN to promote Cássio "cass1n" Santos from their academy squad while also acquiring Lucas "lux" Meneghini from Fluxo.

hardzao originally joined paiN midway through 2019 as a replacement for Arthur "f4stzin" Schmitt. During this lengthy tenure with paiN, hardzao weathered many roster changes before the squad finally hit their stride in late 2022 with the signing of Felipe "skullz" Medeiros and Romeu "zevy" Rocco. With these additions, paiN climbed up to 13th in the world and challenged FURIA for the title of Brazil's best team.

Reportedly, hardzao will not be on the bench for long as Fluxo are targeting the player alongside zevy and former paiN IGL Vinícios "PKL" Coelho as they also look to retool their roster post-player break.

paiN's roster is currently reported to consist of:

  • Brazil Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt

  • Brazil Felipe "skullz" Medeiros

  • Brazil Cássio "cass1n" Santos

  • Brazil Lucas "lux" Meneghini

  • Brazil Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato (Inactive)

  • Brazil Wesley "hardzao" Lopes (Inactive)

  • Brazil Henrique "rikz" Waku (Coach)
