Official: Liquid announce Rainwaker

As first reported and confirmed by Dust2.us on June 19th, Liquid have announced the signing of Bulgarian upcomer Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov, welcoming the 22-year-old lurker onto the team. The addition of Rainwaker marks the beginning of Liquid's reported transition into a European core following the retirement of Nick "nitr0" Cannella and the decision to sell Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski.

Rainwaker joins Liquid in his first international project after spending his career under Bulgarian squads including 500, SKADE, and FATE. Under the tutelage of the godfather of Bulgarian CS:GO, Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov, Rainwaker has evolved into a strong player in the European scene, posting a 1.12 rating over 150 maps in 2023.

While joining Liquid will undoubtedly be his biggest challenge to date, Damian "daps" Steele gave Rainwaker a strong vote of confidence, saying he was the best option among 20-30 players they analyzed.

Barring Patsi's signing falling through, Liquid will be:
