Report: Complexity frontrunners for Liquid star

Dust2.us has learned that Complexity has become the primary suitor of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski just hours following the chilling of negotiations between the Liquid rifler and Evil Geniuses. EliGE was reportedly surprised by Evil Geniuses' change in plans from a European core, leading him to examine all options available to him.

With Liquid already planning for a future without EliGE and focusing their attention on pushing through the signing of Robert "Patsi" Isyanov, it is believed that a return back to the squad was not possible and will not happen at this time, much to the dismay of North American fans.

While Evil Geniuses is still in contention, it's thought that they are no longer considered a priority since the change in direction. With a dramatic shift, EliGE is prioritizing a roster that is consistently competing at the international level and also based in North America.

Complexity and Liquid have been engaged in conversations off and on over the last week regarding EliGE. Late last week, EliGE and Liquid had informed Complexity that he would be going with Evil Geniuses thanks to a much more enticing project and contract offer, effectively turning down their offer. However, due to the dramatic change, Complexity have been able to come back to the negotiating table and is in the midst of negotiations at this moment.

Finally, FURIA has been floated as a potential landing spot for the Portuguese-speaking star from multiple sources, but such a possibility is not considered to be feasible. Because of EliGE's near-fluent understanding of the language, a potential reunion with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo under the FURIA banner was the dream of many Brazilian fans, but does not seem possible at the moment.

For Complexity, they have an interesting quandary as they hope to bring in one of the biggest and best riflers in the world, but have not yet fully identified who he could be replacing on the starting lineup. With Complexity coach Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen telling Dust2.us at the 2023 BLAST.tv Premier Spring Final that "If there is potential to make changes to better the team, they'll probably happen", it makes sense that the organization is shooting for the stars in their pursuit of EliGE.
