Community reactions to NA CS Rostermania rumors

This might be one of the craziest shuffles of all time.

Every team in the scene seems to be going through changes at the moment, and the North American space is no different. Complexity, Liquid, and Evil Geniuses have all been rumored to be making changes with the latter two heading toward European-majority cores. With all the leaks and stories flying around, we take a look at some of the reactions that the community has had to the news.

After being the pillar of the NA scene for years, Liquid now appears to be pivoting away from its North American roots. The rumored move that is being talked about surrounds Aleks 'Rainwaker' Petrov and Robert "Patsi" Isyanov joining Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis as the new EU core.

The impact that this move will have on the NA scene will be enormous, losing the region's top contender who has been the guiding light for the struggling scene. Not only will this move adversely affect the scene, but it is also a really big risk to take two relatively unproven EU players when you gain so much from being the top North American team as was pointed out by casters Adam "Dinko" Hawthorne and Mohan "launders" Govindasamy.

Departing Liquid to make way for the two incoming Europeans would be long-time Liquid servant, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. The rumored destination for the Intel Grand Slam Season 2 winner is Evil Geniuses, with Complexity having their approach turned down by the 25-year-old. It is unknown where the former number 4 ranked player in the world will land, but there have been questions asked surrounding the conditions in which EliGE is leaving the team.

Alongside EliGE, EG is rumored to be picking up NAVI IGL Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Forze AWPer Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko, and former G2 player Audric "JACKZ" Jug. If these moves come to fruition, EG will join Liquid in having a European core which will leave Complexity as the sole Louvre/BLAST team left in NA. Rebuilding around either Timothy "autimatic" Ta or Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov if all these rumored moves come to fruition, it is unclear how this roster will gel together considering the mix of nationalities and cultures, but it certainly is a baffling roster on paper.

Just pure heart break. I'm really disappointed in how things have went with these roster shuffles. I love an underdog, but this is metaphoric euthanasia to the NA scene especially if CoL follow suit.

It's just very disappointing. I don't know if Complexity, Nouns, Wildcard, ATK, etc. will have what it takes to carry on the torch of top tier NACS.
