Wildcard unveil horvy and Valkenn
As first reported by Dust2.us, Wildcard have unveiled their new coach, former Immortals player João "horvy" Horvath. Additionally, the team have signed Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady as an analyst, bringing her onside after previous stints with Bad News Eagles, Limitless, and X13.
The news sees Wildcard bulk up their investment in CS:GO after a strong start with their new lineup, with the team finishing their group in ESL Challenger League Season 45 with a 6-1 record. In the first two series of playoffs, Wildcard played a close series against Evil Geniuses Black before taking down Party Astronauts in a close upset over the more pedigreed lineup.
While the addition of horvy has long been expected and reported on, Valkenn's addition to the team comes as a pleasant surprise after being touted by many in the NA scene. At Fragadelphia 17, Strife's current IGL, Bobby "stamina" Eitrem, described her as having "genius-level anti-strating and analytical work" that is worth a "tier one contract." Additionally, Jeremy "Jeremy9000" Gray, Wildcard's manager, described her as a "top-tier analyst" and a "cheat code" for the team in his reaction to the announcement of her addition.
As such, Wildcard are now:
-
Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore
-
Adam "freshie" Paterson
-
Jack "micro" Ryan
-
Brett "brett" Rhein
-
Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan
-
João "horvy" Horvath (Coach)
-
Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady (Analyst)
Wildcard will face off against paiN tonight at 08:00PM as they look to continue their run in ESL Challenger League Season 45 playoffs.
