Report: Wildcard set to unveil Brazilian coach
Dust2.us has learned from multiple sources that Wildcard's lengthy search for a new coach has reached its conclusion with the signing of João "horvy" Horvath as the team's new head coach. horvy will take over the role after numerous European coaches were tested for the role, including Aleksa "Impulse" Stankić and Philippe "Winspai" Mølgaard Ouabaid.
horvy is most known to NA fans for his two-month tenure with Immortals, during which the North American organization tried in vain to rebuild their CS:GO team following the departures of Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe, Henrique "HEN1" Teles, and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles.
After being released from Immortals in mid-2018, horvy's career saw the journeyman divide his time between the Brazilian and European scenes, with the Brazilian attempting to find his niche in multiple different scenes. horvy's journeys saw him briefly embedded in the Brazilian, Portuguese, German, and pan-European scenes before hanging up the mouse in 2021.
In 2022, horvy took up his first coaching engagement with Entropiq Prague, the Czech organization's domestic squad, where he enjoyed a modestly successfully three-month tenure. With all of this international experience, it is likely the hope of Wildcard's management that horvy can bring new ideas to the team and help flesh out their strat book.
Wildcard are expected to be:
-
Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore
-
Adam "freshie" Paterson
-
Jack "micro" Ryan
-
Brett "brett" Rhein
-

-

horvy's first match with Wildcard will likely be tomorrow when the team takes on Strife in ESL Challenger League Season 45.
