paiN send Complexity to the 1-2 bracket
In the 1-1 bracket, Complexity and paiN met for their last BO1 in the BLAST.tv Paris Major Challengers stage. The veto dictated that Nuke would be the map played between the teams.
The winner of the match would be just a BO3 away from the Legends stage, but the loser would be just a BO3 away from getting eliminated.
Complexity started on the T-side and got a good pistol round win to take the lead early on. After that, it was downhill. Missed opportunities, desynchronized peaks, questionable executes, and just lack of luck in general, all that mixed together made the 12-3 half in favor of paiN feel like it could have a 12-3 in favor of Complexity.
A CT-side pistol where Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt turned a 3v2 into a 1v2 with an amazing flank would see Complexity go down 13-3, making things look very dire. The NA side managed to win the following round with lesser weaponry but lost when paiN did the same the round after. As the score turned 14-4, it was pretty much a question of time until paiN closed the game. That would happen just two rounds after, as paiN won 16-4.
paiN came to play, and Complexity were not ready. paiN are now 2-1, one series away from qualification, and Complexity are down 1-2, meaning they start their grind through the elimination bracket tomorrow.
