Paris Major update breaks CS:GO concurrent player count record
Yesterday, the highly anticipated BLAST.tv Paris Major update released for CS:GO, bringing with it Pick'Ems, the Major viewing pass, and of course, stickers. With the constant clamoring for stickers to be released, it's no surprise that there was a huge audience ready to see the new update.
The influx of users broke yet another concurrent player count, bringing the new highest total to 1,557,335 players online at once, according to SteamDB. This breaks the record set just over a month ago in March coinciding with the announcement of Counter-Strike 2. That record was set at 1,519,457 players, meaning the new maximum player count surpasses the old record by over 37,000 people.
This marks yet another record-breaking increase in concurrent player count, which has been steadily rising for several months now. Numbers sourced from Steam Charts.
