LOS + oNe CEO allegedly broke Valve coaching rule in RMR opener
Dust2.us understands from sources within BLAST at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR that LOS + oNe should not have had their co-CEO, Alexandre "kakaveL" Peres, acting as the team's coach in their opening match against FURIA. This is due to the Brazilian organization registering Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu as their coach on the official roster document and not registering their CEO at any point.
Due to LOS + oNe electing to part ways with peacemaker on April 5th, they waived the right to use a coach at the event. As such, fielding kakaveL on stage in LOS + oNe's 16-6 loss to FURIA is a direct violation of Valve's strict coaching rules.
Dust2.us reached out to Andrew Haworth, the commissioner of BLAST Premier and BLAST's Director of Operations and Productions, about this situation. Haworth told Dust2.us that "quite simply, [kakaveL] shouldn't have been, and he won't be now," and that BLAST were investigating how kakaveL was allowed on stage for the match.
It is unclear if there will be any further ramifications against LOS + oNe due to the transgression and how the issue will resolve itself. It's also unclear how kakaveL was allowed to enter the coaching area and participate, despite not being registered at all.
Dust2.us reached out to kakaveL for comment, but has not heard back by the time of publication.
