vice announces extended break from CS:GO

Following a break period after being removed from Cloud9, vice has announced plans to step back from the game.

Former Rogue member Daniel "vice" Kim has announced that he will be taking an "extended break from competitive CS" as he has "lost the inspiration and motivation that made [him] want to devote 100% of [himself] to the game."

vice has been teamless since he was released from Cloud9 as a part of the team's roster revamp, featuring the additions of Kenneth "koosta" Suen, Damian "daps" Steele, Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas. Shortly before his removal from Cloud9, vice had also found himself teamless as Rogue had decided to release their CS:GO roster.

In his TwitLonger, vice had the following to say:

As of now and the foreseeable future, I am taking an extended break from competitive CS. Somewhere along the way, I lost the inspiration and motivation that made me want to devote 100% of myself to the game and I don't think staying in the pro scene for the sake of money is the right way for me. I'm planning on going back to school for now but CS has been such a big part of my life that I doubt I'll be done with it forever.

During his tenure with Cloud9, vice averaged a 0.88 rating on LAN, a stark departure from his time on Rogue, where he boasted a 1.07 rating and drew the attention of many with a strong performance at the FACEIT Major in London. Although he will now take a step back from the game, vice did hint at a possible return to the game at the end of his TwitLonger following the end of his schooling.
