EG Black set to field HexT tonight
As confirmed on HLTV, Evil Geniuses Black are set to field Jadan "HexT" Postma tonight in their ESL Challenger League Season 44 match against Strife. The occasion will see EG Black field their former teammate in place of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz for an undisclosed reason.
As previously mentioned, HexT is no stranger to Evil Geniuses Black, having been a core member of the team for many years dating back to the RBG days alongside Colby "Walco" Walsh and Tommy "Axed" Ryan. HexT was promoted to the main Evil Geniuses roster in early August 2022 ahead of the IEM Rio Major Americas RMR.
Despite the team showing signs of improvement towards the end of 2022, 2023 has been a completely different story, with Evil Geniuses bombing out of the past three big LAN events and failing to make the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR in an incredibly disappointing fashion. Additionally, in this week's HLTV World Ranking, EG fell below Top 30 in the world for the first time since January. These combined factors have led many to speculate roster changes are on the horizon for the team, with HexT being a potential player on the chopping block. Whether his move down to EG Black is permanent or he is just a novel stand-in remains to be seen.
Dust2.us reached out to HexT, Axed, and Stanislaw for comment. HexT declined to comment, while the latter parties did not respond prior to publication.
