MIBR to bootcamp in Serbia
After a frustrating ESL Pro League Season 17 which saw MIBR only take one win out of their four matches, the squad will be headed to Serbia as they prepare for the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR in early April.
In a tweet from Augusto "Geto" Nobre, the squad traveled yesterday to Serbia where they will stay for nearly 20 days as they look to bring in more European practice as they look to qualify for the Major.
MIBR have truly started prioritizing their matches and preparedness with a full focus on the Major. Assistant coach Marcos "tacitus" Castilho revealed that the team were invited to ESL Challenger Melbourne, but declined the invitation due to the logistics of the actual event.
While in Europe, the team will consider participating in some of the more Tier 2 online events that are happening, but have not made a decision for now.
While the squad are fully focused on the RMR, they will also look to prepare for IEM Rio which the Brazilians qualified for by beating out Complexity in the Closed Qualifier. Thankfully, there will be a little rest for the squad between the RMR and IEM Rio as the Major qualifier ends on April 9th and IEM Rio begins April 17th.
