Nouns, Strife invited to IEM Dallas Closed Qualifier

The team announcements for IEM Dallas have already been announced, with a surprising and welcoming six Americas teams finding their way into the event through invites or open qualifiers.

North America will see it's Big Three of Liquid, Complexity, and Evil Geniuses showing up, with the latter receiving a "Local Hero" invite which was the point of confusion amongst the community yesterday. For the Brazilians, they will feature FURIA as well as one team coming from the open qualifier.

Open qualifiers for IEM Dallas begin today for the North Americans and the invites for the closed qualifier have already been released.

Nouns and Strife are the two teams to get the bye into the final four teams that will compete over the weekend for one spot at IEM Dallas. The glaring omissions for this qualifier are ATK and MIBR, the two top North American based teams not already at IEM Dallas.

For MIBR, they are embarking on a lengthy European bootcamp ahead of the RMR in early April after completing their group at ESL Pro League. For ATK, they just arrived in Malta to conduct their own bootcamp ahead of their Group D appearance on March 15th.

With ATK and MIBR out of the fold for the closed qualifier, now is the time for other NA squads to get their chance at qualifying for the premier American event. You can sign up for the first qualifier here and the second qualifier here.

The first qualifier begins today and ends tomorrow, the second qualifier begins on March 2nd and ends the 3rd, and the Closed Qualifier begins March 4th and ends March 5th.
