Complexity move on from AWPer
This morning, Complexity have announced that they are wishing Paytyn "Junior" Johnson well in a tweet that implies that AWPer is no longer part of the organization.
junior has been spotted previously playing with EG Black in the fl0m Cup back in early January. The inclusion of the AWPer was due to Jerric "wiz" Jang receiving a call-up to the main roster from the young squad. Despite only winning one series and losing to Strife in the semifinals, junior clearly passed the test for EG as he was the highest performer on the team with a 1.21 rating.
The former FURIA player has had a tough time adjusting to top tier competition, with his first real test as a part of the Brazilian organization in early 2021. The experiment of FURIA attempting to move to an English-speaking lineup failed, as junior and the rest of the team would fail to adapt to such a system. With his Portuguese-speaking teammates mostly speaking in their own language, the entire thing spelled disaster.
With a new start on Complexity, it looked as though the player had successfully regained his form. However, performances at major events would be lacking and several internal issues would cause the Dallas-based organization to look elsewhere last summer.
junior will likely have several opportunities available to him now that he is no longer tied to an organization, but given his recent performances with Evil Geniuses, he might have a new landing spot soon.
