Twistzz and FaZe start their Kato defense with a comfortable win

Twistzz and FaZe in high Spirits

FaZe showed some impressive form upon their return to their full lineup.

With the return of Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström FaZe look to go back-to-back champs IEM Katowice as their first chance to seal the Intel Grand Slam title they have been on the verge of clinching for the past year.

The opening map would be Ancient, a hallmark of the FaZe side over the duration of the roster but also a strength of the underdogs Spirit. The international mix got off too a romping start as they raced out of the gate to a 9-1 lead, the side claimed three out of the next five rounds to have a healthy 12-3 lead.

Despite winning pistol, Spirit flopped in the gun rounds as FaZe took a resounding 16-5 win on the CIS squads map pick. Next map was Nuke another favorite for the International squad and a map where rain tends to dictate play in the yard area.

The match was more competitive on the second map, with Spirit making the most of the CT start as they managed to put up eight rounds against the scary FaZe. FaZe's CT side proved too powerful though as they dominated the second half despite being down at one point 12-9, the international mix came out on top in the end with a 16-12 victory to secure their first win in Katowice.
