Report: 00 Nation and 9z to swap AWPs; Fluxo left hanging
According to a report by Dust2 Brasil, 00 Nation and Argentine organization 9z have all but inked a deal to swap their AWPers heading into 2023. As a result of this move, Santino "try" Rigal will return to his former team while Lucas "nqz" Soares will join the likes of Epitacio "TACO" de Melo and Marcelo "Coldzera" David on 00 Nation.
This move can be seen as a major coup for 00 Nation as they now seem poised to snatch nqz, an exciting prospect in the Brazilian scene, right out out from underneath Fluxo's nose. The latter organization was reportedly courting the player, alongside Wilton "zews" Prado, in an effort to replace the struggling rifler Lucas "lux" Meneghini. Fluxo will now either need to find a new replacement on the open market or attempt to continue on course with lux.
According to Dust2 Brasil's report, this roster move was reportedly hashed out in short order after try expressed a desire to return to 9z, while 00 Nation was likewise interested in the 17-year-old nqz. This move comes after a dismal performance at the IEM Rio Major for 00 Nation, where the squad bombed out with a 0-3 record following losses to Bad News Eagles, FURIA, and IHC. This failure seemingly spurred another reevaluation of the roster for the change prone Norwegian organization.
With this move reportedly in its final stages, the two teams should head into 2023 with:
