Complexity fall to Astralis in Espoo
Complexity have fallen to Astralis in Espoo, ending their run in Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 with a 2-3 record. The overtime loss to the skeleton crew Astralis squad on Nuke came after a close showdown between the two team that saw Astralis take better advantage of a number of unforced errors from Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's troops.
Complexity started Nuke off on their T-side, where they started proceedings off with an impressive 7-2 start before slipping to allow Astralis to win the half 8-7. After switching sides, Complexity won their CT-side pistol and were the first to find double digits, taking a decent 12-8 lead before the Danes answered back with two rounds of their own.
Astralis continued to build momentum after this, battling back to retake the lead and be the first to find match point before Complexity forced overtime due to a strong 30th round defense. In overtime, Complexity won their CT-side 17-16 before falling apart on their T-side, allowing Astralis to win Nuke 19-17 to win the series outright.
A loss to Astralis with two stand-ins marks an end of a disappointing second half of 2022 for the NA team, seeing the team fail to capitalize on adding Norwegian AWPer Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli.
