shmaw benched as Turismo reunites with Noxio on Holo
ESEA Advanced squad Holo have benched Andrew "shmaw" Situ from their roster, enlisting former iNTACT member Michael "Turismo" Haas to take his place. The move reunites Turismo with Sam "Noxio" Goodwin, with the two players previously playing on iNTACT together during the team's undefeated ESEA Main Season 28 run.
shmaw revealed his removal from the active roster in a tweet at the start of the week, with the Canadian player mentioning that the "team decided (he) wasn't improving at the rate they needed." He then went on to say that he needed to work on his "aggressive but calculated plays" as his current style had cost his team crucial rounds, with the final section of the tweet wishing the remaining players on the team the best as shmaw "[becomes] their sixth and [continues] to learn."
Turismo has been without a team since January, when he chose to step down from the iNTACT roster due to "time constraints." He has not played any league or official matches since, although a recent first-place finish in Rank G gave the player a nice $1,000 bonus as he now looks to return to competitive play. Turismo has already played his first match with the team, falling 5-16 on Inferno against parabellum in league play.
With the change, Holo's roster now looks as follows:
- Jazzy "Ematics" Kruczynski
- Dominick "JazzPimp" Dimpfel
- Gene "ayjin" Krivachek
- Sam "Noxio" Goodwin
- Michael "Turismo" Haas
- Andrew "shmaw" Situ (Backup)
Holo are currently 7-6 in Advanced Season 31, with their next match pitting them up against Strings' Llama Pack on June 18th at 9 PM EDT. The team are also currently up against ATK in round of sixteen for the third Mythic Cup.
