Villainous brings in BHOP removal
Following the dramatic exit from BHOP, Brody "BeaKie" Kelly is right back in ESL Challenger League, this time under the Villainous banner. The S43 callups made the most of an awkward situation, scooping up BeaKie ahead of next season’s set of games. In the provided TwitLonger, BeaKie expressed much praise for in-game leader Cory “shutout” Frymark and noted his past experience with him as well as the “freedom” within the lineup as keys for joining.
BeaKie joins Villainous after 18 regular season maps and four relegation maps last season, finishing with 1.09 and 1.13 ratings respectively. The promising rifler brings ECL experience and talent to a core that saw ECL before, but in a rather unsuccessful fashion. They hope to avoid another 0-7 showing this time around and hope the addition of BeaKie can help accomplish that.
The Villainous invite came as a byproduct of Brazen’s disbanding and subsequent forfeiture of the S43 ECL spot. By default, the sixth-placed team inside of ECL S43 Relegation is to be handed the open spot, leaving Villainous eligible for the invite.
The search doesn’t stop at BeaKie, for Villainous still has to field a fifth player ahead of the ECL competition. Ahead of the first set of games, Villainous are not only searching for their fifth but it has been revealed to Dust2.us by Villainous ownership that they are also trialing an analyst and searching for a coach. With S42 ECL playoffs wrapping up soon, and S43 set to begin shortly after, the org will have to work diligently to fill the roster up.
Villainous’ current roster is:
-
Matthew "tatm" Munro
-
Cory "shutout" Frymark
-
Jake "zebra" Davis
-
Brody "BeaKie" Kelly
