Royal partially refill court, ex-Zone add ULTRA, Ascent add HeartBreaker as coach
Another week means inevitable MDL changes, some more necessary than others.
First up, Royal, who were reduced to just two players following a rash of departures from their roster last week, have resolved to continue the season with coach Warren "hades" Rettich moving up to the position of starter, and the addition of Paul "n2g" Lao. n2g has attended several Southern California LANs with Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce, including yesterday's Frag for First at Esports Arena.
The moves still leave the team short one man, but their roster is currently:
- Josh "JoshRT" Lee
- Dylan "RIKO" Sabin-Arnce
- Warren "hades" Rettich
- Paul "n2g" Lao
Royal currently have MDL matches scheduled against oNe and Peeker's Advantage next week, while captain Josh "JoshRT" Lee and his mix-squad will be playing later today in the Americas Minor qualifier.
ex-Zone, who recently parted ways with newest addition Alex "aproto" Protopapas, have made a snap decision to complete their roster with Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht. The player returns to activity after seemingly taking last season off, following the dissolution of the ex-Velocity lineup that went 6-12 in MDL Season 29.
ex-Zone are now:
- Mike "Swisher" Schmid
- Joshua "Hunter" Madore
- Alexander "zander" Diaz
- Hunter "koga" Allen
- Noah "ULTRA" Giesbrecht
- Teric "Bibby" Ingram (Coach)
The team do not have any MDL matches scheduled at the moment, but would be set to take on Variance and Royal next.
Finally, Ascent have made the surprise addition of journalist and caster Steven "HeartBreaker" Cropley as coach. Contacted by Dust2.us, Joshua "KiiroKami" Kim stated that the team were looking for "someone who was really chill and could keep us cool headed."
Ascent are now:
- Joshua "KiiroKami" Kim
- Marc-Andre "NiSMO" Tayar
- David "Sneaky" Polster
- Kaitlin "Katie" Boop
- Chris "riku" Piasecki
- Steven "HeartBreaker" Cropley (Coach)
Ascent's next MDL match is scheduled to come on May 29th against Singularity, with the two teams currently having identical 5-3 records in the league.
