Gaimin Gladiators get tier-one help
Just under two weeks after announcing his departure from BHOP, in-game leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz was seen in the server with Gaimin Gladiators.
stanislaw offered his services to Gaimin last night in the ESL Challenger Melbourne NA closed qualifier, where the team faced off against ATK and oNe in BO3 action. Prior to the matches, the organization took to Twitter to announce his stand-in status in place of Dominick “JazzPimp” Dimpfel.
The team initially ran into a wall against ATK, not mounting any sustainable success in either map to go down 0-2. After losing the opening match, the team was cast to the lower bracket.
Gaimin Gladiators bounced back in impressive fashion, beating oNe by an even larger margin than they lost the round prior. The team appeared much more cohesive on Ancient and Inferno, and stanislaw was able to get his stars going in pursuit to the 2-0 work of oNe.
Through four maps, stanislaw sits at a 0.97 rating with a .87 K/D. Although it doesn’t jump off the page, it has been enough so far to help his team just one win away from a finals rematch against ATK.
Dust2.us reached out to both JazzPimp and Gaimin Gladiators President Nick Cvillo for a comment on the situation and the future of the lineup. At the time of publication, neither gave a comment.
As for the stanislaw-led Gladiators, they will face off against EG.PA in a couple hours in the consolidation final. The match is set to kick off at 05:30PM.
