Swole Patrol find new life with Lazarus
Lazarus, the Canadian organization formerly known as SetToDestroyX, have announced the signing of Swole Patrol. The re-branded organization first re-entered CS:GO late last year, by picking up the Russian female team formerly known as Donut Galaxy.
The signing will hopefully officially end a tumultuous period for Swole Patrol, which saw the team reduced to just Braxton "swag" Pierce after the departures of his former teammates to Cloud, Ghost, and eUnited.
Despite qualifying for ESL Pro League in December of last year, and initially earning a spot at IEM Sydney, the team had been unable to secure a sponsor until now.
Lazarus' roster is:
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
- Michael "dapr" Gulino
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik
- Danny "fRoD" Montaner (Coach)
The team now await their LAN debut at ESL Pro League Season 9. They have been drawn into Group B alongside Liquid, compLexity, and Ghost, meaning that swag and Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro are likely to face former teammate and Swole Patrol founding member Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir.
In the meantime, the team will also be participating in the WINNERS League, though have yet to play their first match.
