Update: Bad News Bears complete lineup with Swahn and Pluto
Update: Bad News Bears have informed Dust2.us that while Pluto has been offered a spot on the team, he has not accepted the position at this time. We apologize for any confusion.
Bad News Bears have completed their lineup for ESL Challenger League Season 40 with the additions of Christopher "Swahn" Swahn and Saad "Pluto" Siraj, former members of Detonate and Valors, respectively, Dust2.us has confirmed with the team.
These additions hopefully cap off a tumultuous period for Bad News Bears that saw the team part ways with their three heaviest hitters: Brendan "Bwills" Williams, Michael "Swisher" Schmid, and now Paytyn "junior" Johnson over the course of the player break.
The addition of Swahn sees the 23-year-old player reunite with Gabe "Spongey" Greiner and Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman four years after the trio initially came together on iNTACT in 2018. That team rose to notability after besting FURIA in the finals of ESEA Advanced Season 29. It also marks Swahn's exit from the recently-relegated Detonate, with Swahn taking a break from IGL duties as a result. In his place, Silas "silas" Marrufo will be leading Detonate.
The second addition to the team, Pluto, is set to play his first season of ESL Challenger League/Premier after qualifying via ESEA Premier Season 39 Relegation with Valors. He was that team's highest-rated player during ESEA Advanced Season 39 playoffs, posting a 1.33 rating over ten maps. He will also reunite with Robert "robby" Brown after the latter player made the jump from Valors to Bad News Bears two days ago.

-
Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman
