Twistzz comes in at 12 on HLTV Top 20; first Canadian to make list
Liquid's Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken has been selected as #12 of the HLTV Top 20. Twistzz was one of the trio of engines, alongside Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic, who powered the team to their very successful 2018.
With the selection, Twistzz becomes the first Canadian to ever make the list — though it is a near-certainty that teammate and countryman NAF quickly earn the honor of the highest-placing resident of the Great North. This also marks the first time that North America has boasted more than two players on the list in one year.
Throughout the year, Twistzz amassed five EVPs and one bittersweet MVP medal from ESL One New York, where Liquid looked destined to win before faltering at the finish line agaisnt mousesports.
For his bold prediction of a player who will make the coveted list next year, Twistzz chose Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov from Liquid's domestic rivals NRG. The Bulgarian and his team will continue their campaign for IEM Katowice in a few short weeks.
