UPDATE: vanity and food leave Singularity; join Swole Patrol
Anthony "vanity" Malaspina has left Singularity, according to a recently released tweet from the player.
Additionally, Dust2.us has learned that Victor "food" Wong has also left Singularity. His departure is supported by Cameron "Hydrex" Kern, who wished the two players luck on their next team.
The timing of the departure of these two players lends credence to a report last week from Rush B Media that stated the two players were pegged as likely replacements for the depleted Swole Patrol squad.
These changes come off the back of Singularity's failure to make Pro League following a 2-0 loss to Rogue in the consolidation final. They also follow Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro's depature from Swole Patrol, having recently joined Cloud9 on trial.
Following these changes, Singularity's roster is now:
- Joshua "oSee" Ohm
- Cameron "hydrex" Kern
- Ryan "ryann" Welsh
- Jarod "MAC-1" Schneider (coach)
It is expected that vanity and food will be making their way over to Swole Patrol before the start of the EPL season on April 12th. Additionally, Singularity are now going to be on the lookout for two new players to replenish their roster as the MDL season is set to commence in short order on January 14th, with hydrex telling Dust2 the team "are looking at options" for possible replacement players next season.
Update: food has announced on Twitter that he is joining Swole Patrol.
Additionally, when asked on stream about joining Swole Patrol, vanity said that "it was really hard not making pro to be honest. But, gotta take it."
Shortly afterwards, he updated his Twitch bot to reflect this change, interestingly this new Swole Patrol roster did not include Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir who has been linked with rumors to join Ghost.
As such, Swole Patrol's roster is as follows:
- Braxton "swag" Pierce
- Omar "MarKE" Jimenez
- Anthony "vanity" Malaspina
- Victor "food" Wong
