Stay Frosty solidify roster with Douglas
The ex-Excelerate roster, now playing under the name Stay Frosty, have completed their five-man lineup for the upcoming season with the addition of Jarod "Douglas" Onorato. The team has been hunting for a fifth since Jonathan "djay" Dallal stepped down from the roster at the end of Season 29. Douglas announced his search for a team shortly after djay's departure, with the player now finding a home on Stay Frosty.
Douglas has been absent from MDL since Say No More, composed primarily of former Ghost Academy members, disbanded shortly after the start of Season 27. He has continued to compete in Open and Intermediate for the past two seasons under the same team tag, making playoffs on both occasions and finishing his runs 3-1 and 1-1, respectively.
With Ghost Academy, Douglas placed fourth in the online MDL Season 26 to earn a spot at ESEA MDL Season 26 Global Challenge, where the team finished in 3-4th with wins over SoaR and the Shawn "witmer" Taylor iteration of GX before falling to AGO 0-2 in the semifinals.
The Stay Frosty roster had an unsuccessful run in MDL Season 29, narrowly avoiding relegation with a 7-12 record and ending the season in 14th place. With Douglas, they'll look to improve upon their results as they head into Season 30.
Stay Frosty's roster is now:
- Michael "agM" Abood
- Casey "SideStep" Hartzler
- Jimmy "Nurfed" McFadden
- Keanu "DaneJoris" Reyes
- Jarod "Douglas" Onorato
MDL Season 30 is set to kick off in the new year on January 14th.
