WARDELL helped to power his team to a series victory over FURIA

Drip or Drown win NSG Eastern Conference Championship

A reverse sweep saw Drip or Drown cruise through the final two maps to claim victory.

The eUnited/Ghost mix of Drip or Drown have won N3rd Street Gamers' Eastern Conference Championship after defeating FURIA 2-1 in the grand finals (11-16 Train, 16-6 Mirage, 16-5 Inferno).

The series began on FURIA's map pick of Train, with Kaike "kscerato" Cerato helping to power his team to a 6-0 start on their CT side. Matthew "WARDELL" Yu stepped up for Drip or Drown to help his team grab a trio of rounds back, but FURIA kept up the pressure by securing another two rounds for an 8-3 lead. Drip or Drown kept their T side respectable by taking another three rounds in a row, with FURIA closing out the final round of the half for a 9-6 scoreline.

Drip or Drown narrowed the deficit with two rounds off the back of the second half pistol round, but FURIA replied back with two of their own to keep the lead out of reach. WARDELL helped his side grab another round with four kills on the AWP, but the team found themselves reset in the ensuing round with FURIA pushing up to 14-9. Another two rounds went Drip or Drown's way before FURIA secured themselves two final rounds, taking the series to Mirage with a 16-11 victory.

Mirage was all Drip or Drown, with WARDELL and Will "dazzLe" Loafman combining to grant FURIA just a single round out of the opening eleven. The final three rounds of the half were traded back between the two teams, with Drip or Drown emerging out on top with a 12-3 lead.

That lead was extended even further in the second half as another trio of rounds went the way of Drip or Drown, putting them on match point immediately. FURIA fought back for three rounds of their own, but Drip or Drown ensured the series would go to a third map by grabbing their final round for a 16-6 map win.

Drip or Drown's domination continued on Inferno, this time with Michael "dapr" Gulino stepping up to the plate for his team on the T side. Two early economic resets against the Brazilians allowed for Drip or Drown to once again power themselves to a dominant 10-2 lead at the start, with FURIA managing to snag the final three rounds of the half to give themselves a fighting chance on their own T side.

Drip or Drown gave FURIA no chance to even get themselves going, with WARDELL grabbing himself three kills in the second half pistol. From there, Drip or Drown locked FURIA out of both bombsites to swiftly bring about an end to the series with a 16-5 map victory.
