s0m to join Test Takers
Sam "s0m" Oh is the latest addition to Test Takers, which means the team has made four changes to the ESEA roster over the off season. On the way out will be Jeff "REZU" Ngo, once he has played the minimum required matches to retain the MDL spot.
The announcement, above, is the same image as on Test Takers' ESEA roster. The players are yet to be added to the ESEA roster but the Twitter and Twitch links for the majority of players are currently listed. As part of the announcement Dust2.us has learned that Armeen "a2z" Toussi, the marshmallow man in the image, will be the team's coach for the season.
This will be the second time s0m has been under the Test Takers name, with the first time only a brief flirt before the start of ESEA Season 29. At that time he left before even playing a game, intending to focus on streaming before joining Old Guys Club.
The youngster recently stood-in for Swole Patrol during the Americas Minor Closed Qualifier, where they finished 7-8th and outside of qualification.
Test Takers, albeit with a very different roster, finished eleventh in ESEA MDL Season 29 with an 11-8 record which kickstarted the drastic changes. The current iteration of the roster, with REZU in tow, also finished 7th-8th in the Americas Minor qualifier having lost 2-1 to Bravado in the final game.
Dust2.us has learned that the decision to replace REZU was not unanimous within the team. Additionally, the team have yet to decide which four members will play around REZU to open the ESEA season.
As such, Test Takers' roster for the upcoming season is as follows:
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Sam "s0m" Oh
- Armeen "a2z" Toussi (Coach)
- Jeff "REZU" Ngo (Substitute)
ESEA MDL Season 30 is set to start on January 8th 2019.
