kaboose and TheDudeAbides depart Vision with MDL playoffs out of sight
After a turbulent season of roster changes, Jacob "kaboose" McDonald and Tyler "TheDudeAbides" Statia have departed Vision as MDL Season 29 reaches its playoffs stage with Vision absent.
kaboose originally joined F1-racecar-PEEK back in April before the team signed with Vision two months later. Under the Vision organization, kaboose was one of the core players, leading the team through two regional LAN victories and a second place finish in MDL Season 28.
As MDL Season 29 came around, Vision began to change out players in the hopes of rapidly improving their performance, which was met with some community backlash. As the roster changes continued, the team began to falter in the MDL standings.
After the (brief) departure of Ian "motm" Hardy to Swole Patrol, which quickly left motm teamless once again, Vision chose to take the last few matches of MDL with TheDudeAbides, and attempt to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Vision were unsuccessful, falling to Swole Patrol and Excelerate, effectively locking them out of the playoffs.
With the season now over, both players have decided to depart, with Dust2.us told that kaboose is supposedly set to take a break from competitive CS:GO.
Vision's roster is now:
- Alex "aproto" Protopapas
- Andy "vSa" Xu
- Colin "wrath" McSweegan
- Mark "markalodon" Rose (Coach)
While Vision were unable to make a league revival to reach the MDL playoffs, the team secured a spot at the NSG Championship $30k finals in Atlantic City, after winning the Cougar CS:GO Open. Whether the current Vision roster still intend to attend the event is currently unknown.
