Skadoodle set to step back from competitive CS:GO
Cloud9 have announced that their longest serving member, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, is set to step back from competitive CS:GO. He is to step down from their active roster as soon as a new fifth can be found.
Skadoodle has been part of Cloud9 since joining the team from ex-iBUYPOWER back in April 2015. Since then, he has been the stable part of the team as they've gone through roster changes, up until winning the ELEAGUE Boston Major earlier in the year.
This is the second time Skadoodle has stepped back from active duty on Cloud9, going inactive between the end of March and the second week of April during a period of upheaval for the team, returning to the team when Jake "Stewie2K" Yip made a move to MIBR. This will be the latest change for Cloud9, after the team brought in Robin "flusha" Rönnquist just before BLAST Pro Series Istanbul.
The move will eventually leave Cloud9's roster as follows:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Maikil "Golden" Selim
- Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
- Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham (Inactive)
Cloud9 are now currently looking for a fifth, and at least partially intend do this through open try-outs. They instruct anyone interested to reach out to the team manager, Jonathan Tran, via email or to DM his Twitter account. Skadoodle will remain an active part of the team until then, most likely to help the team through the 24 upcoming best-of-ones they currently have scheduled.
