DreamHack India Invitational marks first Indian DreamHack event
DreamHack has announced via Twitter they're adding another stop to their CS:GO circuit with an invitational in Mumbai, India, the country's most populated city.
The event is to take place between December 21st to 23rd inside the NESCO Exhibition Centre and will feature four teams. Two Indian teams will get their chance to play against international teams in front of a home crowd for the first time. It's to be expected that OpTic India will be one of the two teams to get that opportunity. The $137,000 prize pool will be distributed alongside multiple esports being played at the event.
DreamHack has partnered with multiple companies to assist them including the streaming service Voot, a platform owned by Viacom18, as well as NODWIN Gaming who have hosted multiple tournaments in India including the ESL India Premierships.
