Report: Cloud9 to use flusha for BLAST Pro Series Istanbul
With the Major still on-going, and just a day after he was benched from fnatic, Robin "flusha" Rönnquist is set to link back up with his former IGL Maikil "Golden" Selim for BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, according to a report from HLTV.org and VPEsports.
flusha will come in as a replacement for Martin "STYKO" Styk, who has been on loan with the team from mousesports since July, where he attended ESL One Cologne, ELEAGUE Premier and the Major with the American team. With performances unimpressive, group stage exits in the first two competitions and a 1-3 finish at the Major, it appears the team's IGL has opted to go for his countryman for the upcoming event.
This would end STYKO's run with Cloud9 early, with the player set to take part in all September events for the team. According to the HLTV.org report, it is currently unclear if Cloud9 will look to sign the veteran Swede on a permanant basis, should he impress.
This move would see Cloud9's roster look as follows:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham
- Maikil "Golden" Selim
- Robin "flusha" Rönnquist (Stand-in)
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
Cloud9's first game at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul will be against MIBR on the 28th September, which be followed by a match against Virtus.pro.
