Astralis absolutely flatten MIBR; Final round matchups
After Cloud9 went out earlier on in day four, MIBR was the final North American-based team left playing in the New Legends stage. The two teams faced off on Dust2.
The Danish team secured the pistol... and then pushed on to take every single round of the first half. Seriously, every single round. MIBR weren't even close to securing a round on their T-side, on the T-sided map. Nicolai "device" Reedtz racked up 24 kills in that entire first half, which meant he ended the game with a 125.7 ADR.
The second half pistol round started off well for MIBR, with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and Tarik "tarik" Celik getting good opening kills, but the Danish team pulled it out of the bag and secured it for a 16-0 win. The first 16-0 at any Major, ever.
This result means the Danes head to the playoffs and MIBR are set for the final round of games tomorrow, in the best-of-three round of Swiss. MIBR will be playing Ninjas in Pyjamas tomorrow in the best-of-three.
The full fifth round draw is as follows:
2-2 pool |
G2 vs. FaZe |
NiP vs. MIBR |
fnatic vs. HellRaisers |
