FGB retires
Belal "FGB" Ahmad has announced via Twitter that he is retiring from competitive CS:GO to pursue a college degree after giving himself a chance at going pro in CS.
FGB last played as a stand-in for Guerilla Tactics in Season 27 while the roster composed itself. He previously competed in Season 1 of ESL ESEA Pro League, originally as a part of Coast, before joining up with Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien on SKDC.
FGB also had a short tenure on the LFAO lineup that is now Vireo.pro in MDL Season 26 before departing for Main after being replaced by Felipe "pavel" Costa. As a part of Guerilla Tactics that same season, FGB missed out on his chance for a slot in MDL Season 28 after GT narrowly fell in round 2 of playoffs to Third Times the Charm, who went on to place second and qualify themselves.
Other recent "retirements" include those of Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne at the end of Season 27 only to return on Swole Patrol for Season 28, Logan "Voltage" Long who recently joined up as a substitute on AZIO, Jonathan "Jonji" Carey's 2 week vacation, and Shawn "witmer" Taylor who sort-of (didnt really) retire earlier in the year.
