AZIO power up the bench with Voltage
Logan "Voltage" Long has joined AZIO's ESEA roster, just shortly after leaving Dignitas' roster on the platform. The 18-year-old, who previously announced his "retirement" back in May, will reunite with Ryan "Snakes" Amann and Michael "Grim" Wince, who formerly played with Voltage on SoaR back in Season 26.
While Voltage has joined the ESEA roster, the player has no intentions of returning to active duty any time soon. "I’m their 6th man right now since my class schedule is very favorable," Voltage told us.
"After playing with Ian and Ryan again, I remembered how fun the game is when you’re playing with people you genuinely enjoy playing with," Voltage explained regarding his move to AZIO. "It's something I didn’t have on Dignitas."
Teric "Bibby" Ingram reinforced this on Twitter, stating that Voltage is going to be the team's "star backup" while he focuses on school full-time.
AZIO's roster for next season is now:
- William "shonk" Kittrell (to retain MDL spot)
- Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle
- Joshua "Hunter" Madore
- Ian "motm" Hardy
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Logan "Voltage" Long (Substitute)
- Teric "Bibby" Ingram (Coach)
AZIO will return to MDL for Season 29 after placing 14th last season. For qualifiers, AZIO recently participated in the IEM Chicago open qualifier with Jack "xCeeD" Holiman standing in for the team. Despite the high hopes for the roster, AZIO quickly fell in their first matchup to Anges Big Toe, who are currently playing in Main. AZIO also participated in the first EPICENTER open qualifier, where they were immediately knocked out by Excelerate on Inferno.
