tarik leaves Cloud9
Tarik "tarik" Celik has left the Cloud9 active lineup, the organization has announced. The captain and in-game leader of the team departs after about 11 months of play.
This move also comes after reports that the American was in talks with MIBR about joining the majority Brazilian team, replacing Ricardo "boltz" Prass. If this takes place, he would also reunite with his former teammate Jake "Stewie2K" Yip - both of whom won the ELEAGUE Boston Major in January with Cloud9.
As for Cloud9, FlickShot.fr and DBLTAP have reported that Martin "STYKO" Styk will continue to stand in on loan from mousesports and that Maikil "Golden" Selim will stand in on loan from Fnatic for the ELEAGUE Premier coming up in about a week.
Here is Cloud9's roster after the change:
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta
- Will "RUSH" Wierzba
- Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham
- Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
- Pujan "FNS" Mehta (Inactive)
Cloud9's next event will be the aforementioned ELEAGUE Premier, with the FACEIT London Major coming down the line after that where they will look to defend their title. Per Major roster rules, no other members of the active lineup would be able to leave the team if they wish to retain their Legends spot.
