Liquid get revenge against NRG in London
Liquid have avenged their loss at the hands of NRG in Kiev, taking an authoritative series win in London.
Starting on Inferno, Liquid took the opening pistol from the Terrorist side, and hardly looked back. Leaping out to a 6-0 lead set the tone for the horsemen, with Keith "NAF" Markovic leading the way for his team to a 10-5 score line at the half.
NRG looked set to start a comeback after taking the second half pistol, but dropping the ensuing round spelled their doom, and Liquid took the map 16-6.
On Nuke, NRG got off to a strong 5-0 start from the favored Counter-Terrorist side. However, the rest of the half belonged to Liquid, who would just narrowly have the advantage at the end 8-7.
Liquid's own Counter-Terrorist proved to be too much for NRG to break through, as Damian "daps" steele and his men were only able to secure a singular round.
The result sees NRG finish the event in 3/4th place, but more importantly showing that their showing in Kiev was no accident.
Liquid now are sitting in the grand finals of ECS Season 5 Finals, which is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM EDT. Their opponents will be the victor of the currently ongoing series between FaZe and Astralis.
