Grizzlys set to drop support of MDL team
The Canadian organization Grizzlys, which has both an MDL and an Advanced team, is set to drop at least one of the teams, Dust2.us has learned. The Advanced squad looked promising in ESEA Main last season, sporting an 11-5 record, but unfortunately fell to the Vikings in the first round of the playoffs.
The MDL team on the other hand was not so successful, ending Season 27 with a middle of the pack 8-8 record despite the leadership of former Rogue coach Garett "Grt" Bambrough. Dust2.us have been informed that at least part of the reason for the organization withdrawing is due to the next season of MDL being a training season.
It is believed the organization is willing to turn the spot over to the players, however the MDL roster is seemingly in shambles as all indications do not point to Grt, Mert "REOVA" Bayrak, or Keven "PLAYER1" Champagne returning. Jake "theTRUTH" Hass is set to miss the first part of Season 28, leaving Alex "vek" Voynov as the lone man on the roster at the moment.
It is not currently known what the status of the Advanced roster with the organization is.
Registration for ESEA Season 28 is set to close on May 15th, with matches commencing shortly thereafter.
