ryx appears on Dignitas ESL One Cologne qualifier roster
ESL Pro League Season 7 was not kind to the (mostly) young men of Dignitas, as the league saw the former SoaR squad manage equally as many roster changes as wins. The results (or lack thereof) saw the team unceremoniously demoted back to ESEA MDL at the conclusion of the season.
It should come as no surprise, then, that the squad is searching for answers. An outting with Ryan "Snakes" Amann in the DreamHack Open Summer qualifier (in which there is no age limitation) yielded mostly positive results, with the team reaching the Closed Qualifier. The FeelsUnderAgeMan player was playing in place of recent addition Daniel "roca" Gustaferri.
Now, with the qualifier for ESL One Cologne starting later today, it is Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki getting the call to do some headshotting and such for Dignitas. Snakes is ineligible to play in the event due to still being fifteen.
Dignitas' roster for the ESL One Cologne qualifier is as follows:
- Logan "Voltage" Long
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Armeen "a2z" Toussi
- Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado (Coach)
ryx has been inactive since being benched by Rogue in favor of Anthony "gMd" Guimond in early February. Were he to join up with Dignitas on a permanent basis, he would be facing at least two season in MDL before the team can make it back to ESL Pro League.
Source close to the team have intimated to Dust2.us that the addition of ryx to the formulation is likely, though it is not currently settled who he would be replacing. With the core of the original SoaR squad that qualified to Pro League long since departed, one can imagine that anyone can be on the chopping block.
