Never go full Danish: OpTic set to replace North Americans with Snappi and JUGi
Per reports by HLTV.org and DBLTAP, OpTic are set to replace their North American players (and coach) with Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer Jakob "JUGi" Hansen of Heroic.
Heading out of the team will be Shahzeeb "ShahZaM" Khan and Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, as well as coach Chet "ImAPet" Singh — whose time with the organization has been tumultuous, to say the least.
It is unknown if OpTic plan to fill the vacant coach spot, however Casper "ruggah" Due is a free agent, and may be a fit for the squad.
OpTic's roster is now:
- René "cajunb" Borg
- Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke
- Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer
- Jakob "JUGi" Hansen
- Nicklas "gade" Gade (Loan)
JUGi is currently playing his first officials in nearly two months, standing-in for Snappi.
It is not likely that OpTic will be able to use their overhauled roster for their ESL Pro League matches tonight, but they may just squeak the transfer in and be able to use their new players in the remainder of the season and at LAN, should they qualify.
Despite receiving an investment from the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball, OpTic has been unable to put together a stable roster since the original departure of stanislaw to Liquid back in February of last year.
